How To Make Pizza Dough

In previous posts, I’ve shared with you how you can make your own pizza dough, today I’ve just made a short video of around 10 minutes which you can follow along at home and see how easy it really can be to make pizza at home for your friends and family!

I’ve been working on a pizza cookbook for several months now, and it is very nearly complete, so you can look at this as a bit of a teaser before the full cookbook comes out.

Easy Pizza Dough Recipe

Here is the pizza dough recipe I used in the video:

  • 250g Plain flour (I use bakers flour, it has a high protein content)
  • 5g dried yeast
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of sugar
  • 150-160ml cold water

This will make 2 pizza bases of 220g each, which will roll out to about 27cm (11 inches).

Great, video. All the other I have seen make it complicated. One suggestion could you also state the ingredents in oz or cups amounts

As they say a picture/video speaks louder than words. It is easier to see something and understand quickly than describe a technique in words. Keep up the good ideas and well done.

Nice thing you posted something about pizzas. I am planning to make some for Christmas but I am having doubts with the dough that I am going to use. If it is from the grocery or home made.

Home made is definitely best in my opinion. It’s a lot easier to make than you might think, and there’s nothing better than a fresh dough. Good luck with it, and have a merry Christmas!
